2013

On July 12 a world-famous violinist, Shlomo Mintz, is appearing with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra to perform Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto.

On June 27 “Aram Khachaturian 110 Fundraising Gala” is set in Los Angeles under High Patronage of RA Consulate there.  Eduard Topchjan, Ruzanna Sirunyan (APO General Manager) and Arman Padaryan (APO General Producer) will be visiting the USA from June 22 to 30 for the event, which is considered as a first event of APO EF in LA.  

On June 21 Symphony No 7 by Anton Bruckner will be premiered in Yerevan under baton of Eduard Topchjan. The concert was made possible due to availability of Wagner tubas hired from Dresden Staatskapelle and Dresden Philharmonie for free due to help received from Transmusik and Kultur Aktiv e.V. Dresden. 

On June 9 the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra performed with world-famous soprano Montserrat Cabelle and a range of prominent vocalists. Besides, Montserrat Caballe gave invaluable master-class to Armenian singers.

The APO Academy will be set within Spendiaryan Special Music School since September 2013. It’s already agreed with the school administration and namely director Marina Vardanyan that 25 kids from overall entrance poll (120 kids) will be selected to study with the APO orchestra principal musicians. This is unprecedented project in history of contemporary Armenia. The APO Academy project sets visible and practical goals to train talented musicians to become acquainted and trained with orchestra repertoire and skilled with the best ensemble musicians of Armenia. Sistema Filharmonica, alias APO Academy will be operating through the support coming from the APO EF set in LA this January – Chairman Mr. Haig Bagerdjian, the LA Opera Board of Trustees member.

All through the month of May several auditions were organized in leading Yerevan Music school to get impression on young and talented Armenian musicians. YerazArt continuously supports leading Yerevan and regional schools through Instruments Donation program, master-classes and competitions travel grants. Two oboes were donated Tchaikovsky, Spendiaryan and Sayat-Nova Special Music Schools. Two piccolos were donated to Yerevan Conservatory, and besides, two more were donated to Spendiaryan Music School and Tchaikovsky Special Music School. Two trumpets were donated to Yerevan State Conservatory and two more will be donated to Gyumri Music School No 4 in June. Another trumpet will be donated to Tchaikovsky Special Music School.  

On May 30 Anouche Nikoghosyan brilliantly performed Brahms’ violin concerto under baton of prominent conductor Christopher Warren-Green.

On May 27 a world famous cellist Narek Haknazaryan with participation of a prominent piano player Nareh Arghamanyan gave a charity recital. Proceeds from the concert went to “Gift of Live” Fund, which operates in Armenia under high patronage of First Armenian Lady Mrs. Rita Sargsyan. Also Narek Hakhnazaryan appeared with master-class at Spendiaryan Music School on May 30.

On May 5, highly respected French piano player and prominent Italian clarinet player Giampiero Sobrino performed with the APO at the concert dedicated 850th anniversary of Notre Dame de Paris. The event was made possible due to support of the French Embassy and VivaCell MTS.

Hover Chamber Choir participated in experimental production of “Anouche” opera. Performances took place in Yerevan and Nantes, France  on April 26, 27 May 3, 4, 22, 23, 25. 

On April 30 the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra, under the Auspices of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, performed   “Patria” by a great Armenian composer Alexander Arutiunian with participation of leading Armenian soloists, among them Irina Zakyan, Gohar Azizyan, David Babayants, Berj Karazian and Richard Madlenyan. Also National  Academic Choir of Armenia (Artistic Director & Principal Conductor Ohannes Tchekidjian) and Little Singers of Armenia (Artistic Director Tigran Hekekyan) took part in the event.

On April 24 “Requem” by Tigran Mansurian under baton of Eduard Topchjan was performed by the APO and leading Armenian choirs, Hover Chamber Choir being one.

On April 3 Arman Padaryan visited Dresden and collected 4 Wagner tubas hired through a cooperating panel with Transmusic and Kultur Aktiv e.V. from Dresden Staatskapelle and Dresden Philharmonie. Due this it was made possible to arrange premieres of Brukner sympnony No 9 on April 19 and Sympnony No 7 on June 21.

On March 2 “Cavaleria Rusticana” opera was performed as a concert version by the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra to commemorate the 150th Conductor Eduard Topchjan.

One of the best interpreters of Sergei Rachmaninov, German pianist Bernd Glemser performed Concerto No 3 on February 1 to utmost pleasure of Armenian public to commemorate 140th Anniversary of great Russian composer.

On January 29 Hover Chamber Choir appeared with Contemporary Armenian Composers music concert at Komitas Chamber Music Hall having started the new season. 

2012

A prize-winning animated performance of the Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky marked the Christmas Eve festivities organized by the APO on December 22, 2012.

On November 24 and 27 Armenian Voices septet appeared with two concerts in Germany and France. The first concert took place in Augsburg within "Sounds of God" program. On November 27 a very prestigious concert took place in Paris at Cite de la Musique. Both events were organized through Mintaka Music and Daktari Music.

From October 29 to November 5, Arman Padaryan participated in Polyfollia International Festival and Showcase seminar for Art Managers in France.

On October 20 the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra with 6th Yerevan International Festival in association with City Lights Entertainment (London) presented a concert featuring world famous composer Michel Legrand.

Armenian Divine Liturgy and Folk songs concerts organized by Mintaka Music and Dactari Music in France with participation of Hover septet, alias “Armenian Voices”took place on September 16 at Eglise Notre-Dame de Taverny in France.
                                                                                                  
The opening ceremony of  the 6th Yerevan International Music Festival took place on September 10 with participation of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra and two famous soloists: Sergei Nakariakov performed Trumpet Concerto by Aleksander Arutiunian and Alexander Chaushian performed Haydn's Cello Concerto. In the second half of the concert  Symphonie Fantastique, dedicated to the memory of  Ohan Durian was performed under baton of Eduard Topchjan.

On July 3 the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra presented the concert version of Turandor opera with participation of prominent Armenian and international soloists. The event was also performed on July 6 and due to numerous requests from the public served as a closing event of the season on July 28.

On June 22 a distinguished pianist Bernd Glemser was invited to perform Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with APO as a soloist at a concert under the baton of conductor Christopher Warren-Green (UK) invited to conduct APO. Faure’s Pavane and Debussy’s La Mer was presented on the second part of the concert.

On April 25, “Stabat Mater” by Gioacchino Rossini was performed in the frames of 100 Concerts in Memory of the Victims of the Genocide of Armenians project. Conductor Eduard Topchjan. The concert featured Armenian State Academic Choir  (Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Ohannes Tchekidjian). Soloists: Karine Babajanian, soprano; Juliet Galstyan, mezzo soprano; Berj Karazian, tenor, Hayk Deinyan, bass.

From April 4 to 16 together with Maestro Eduard Topchjan Arman Padaryan visited USA with an aim to present to possible supporters the project of creating the APO Endowment Foundation in the USA.

On February 22 Hover Chamber Chois is celebrating its 20th anniversary with concert and a premiere of a documentary movie by Artur Manukyan. The event took place at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall. 

On January 31 Hover Chamber Choir appears with a second staging of the Snow Cantata by Vache Sharafyan at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall. Heavy snow before the concert is guaranteed by weather reports.

On January 30, the new website of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra, produced by Arman Padaryan appeared on the internet.  The official presentation of the website takes place on February 11, at the Art-Expo 2012. Invaluable work in the web-site production was provided by Anahit Ordyan as PR specialist and Professor Armen Budaghyan as Chief Editor. The web-site was designed by talented and reliable IT specialist Hripsime Jangiryan.

On January 22, Hover Armenian Voices appeared at St.Florent Abbey near Angers, France. The septet performed at the fully packed venue with great success. The concert was organized by Mintaka Music (Ireland) in cooperation with Daktari Music (France).  More concerts of the septet are expected in Autumn 2012.

2011

On December 24 the APO Gala dedicated to 85th anniversary of the orchestra will feature world-class musicians: Sergei Khachatryan, Anna Samuil and some surprise appearances.

This year favorite and a sold-out performance of the Nutcracker will be performed two times in a row on December 21 and 25. Performance famed by a very original  animation created by S. Torosyan under baton of Eduard Topchjan will again attract attention of general public, connoisseurs and kids.

On December 20 Hover Chamber Choir appears at the world premiere of the Snow Cantata by Vache Sharafyan. A very difficult and yet stunning work will be performed with a uniquely set animation.

On December 16 the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra appears with a beautifully set concert of British music dedicated to HM Ambassador Charles Lonsdale who is finishing his mission to Armenia. In the concert for the first time in Armenia there will be used animation and color lights effects especially for "The Planets" suite by Gustav  Holst.

On October 8, Arman Padaryan appeared with interview at Yerkir Media TV introducing new programs and vision of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra.

On October 8 Hover Armenian Voices septet appeared at the Teachers Day celebration event in presence of the Speaker of Armenian National Assembly Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan  and member of the Armenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mrs. Hermine Naghdalyan.

On October 8 Hover Chamber Choir appeared at Sberbank Rossii and Ameria Bank corporative event at Garni Temple in presence of German Gref, Ruben Vardanyan, Gor Nahapetyan and other guests. 

On October 1 the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra celebrated its 85th Anniversary with an impressive concert featuring Daishin Kashimoto (violin, Japan), Aleksandr Chaushian (cello, UK) under baton of Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Eduard Topchjan.

On September 26 Arman Padaryan was awarded with Golden Medal of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia.

On September 9 starts 5th Yerevan International Music Festival, which will take place at Aram Khachatryan Concert Hall. The festival will last till October 12 hosting numerous internationally acclaimed soloists, among them: Diemut Poppen, Daishin Kashimoto, Konstantin Lifshits, Ashley Wass. Within framework of the festival and in cooperation with YerazArt the invited soloists will give master-classes to young Armenian musicians. On September 9 Hover appeared at “Commemorating September 11, 2011” concert organized by US Embassy in Armenia

On July 27 Hover Chamber Choir appears with a solo recital at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall with a closing concert of the Spring-Summer season 2011.

On July 24 Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra appears with closing concert of the Spring-Summer season  2011 together with the famous Armenian cellist, recent 1st Prize laureate of XIV Tchaikovsky International Competition Narek Hakhnazaryan. During the season the APO implemented various effective programs, among them:  Classical Music Club, Tourism Development Panel, Business and Corporative concerts. Besides, the APO held several premieres, where The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky, a literary-musical composition (stage director Sukias Torosyan) was a sold out event.

On July 20 Hover Chamber Choir appears at Komitas Chamber Music Hall at the concert dedicated to the Hero of Armenia Jivan Abrahamyan. The concert is organized under auspices of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

Within YerazArt Instruments’ Donation Program, No 4 Brutyan Music School in Gyumri received 10 violins, 2 trombones, 2 guitars, 1 clarinet and trumpet. On June 27 the school organized a concert commemorating this very important event.

Hover Chamber Choir did a very successful participation at the festival in Italy - La Fabbrica del Canto, having appeared with the world's most interesting choral groups. Among them: Pro Musica Girls' Choir (Hungary), Realtime (Canada), The Gents (Netherlands), Estudio Coral Meridies (Argentina), Parahyangan Catholic University Choir (Indonesia), Joyful Company of Singers (Great Britain) and Arctic Light (Sweden).

From June 11 to 19 Hover Chamber Choir appears at the Festival in Italy - "La Fabbrica del Canto. There are two concerts in Milano - at Basilica di Sant Ambroggio and Teatro Dal Verme and more in Lombardia - in Olgiate Olona, Besana in Brianza, Bardello, Lissone and Legnano.

YerazArt fellow Aleksandr Iradyan received 1st prize at the Aram Khachaturian International Competition in Composition. Besides, he was accepted to the Florida International University and received Carlos Piantini TA scholarship.

The Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra successfully finished the Classical Music Club Spring Series having appeared from February to May at leading Yerevan Universities with concerts. Among them: Russian-Armenian University, Armenian Pedagogical University, and Armenian Medical University. There were special concerts organized at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in cooperation with Yerevan Linguistic University (Brusov) and French University (UFAR). Moreover, in cooperation with Yerevan Municipality the APO appeared with three concerts for the pupils of Yerevan Secondary schools. Both programs will be continued this autumn.

On May 30 Hover Chamber Choir appears at the anniversary concerts dedicated to 90th jubilee of a famous Armenian composer Edward Mirzoyan.

On May 24, Hover Chamber Choir appears with a very special concert presenting to listeners new works by 14 Armenian composers.

On April 12 Hover Chamber Choir participated at the opening presentation ceremony of the Orange Foundation in Armenia.  The event took place at the Aram Khachatryan House-Museum in presence of many important guests, such as Ambassador of France to Armenia HE Henri Reynaud,  Senior Manager of Orange Foundation Mary Lisa Durban, General Manager of Orange Armenia  Mr. Bruno Dutoit  and many others.

On March 27 at the Armenian National Music Awards ceremony the Armenian Folk Music album of the Komitas Quartet produced by Arman Padaryan through subvention from the Ministry of Culture of Armenia received the Best Classical Music album award. This was the final public appearance of Arman Padaryan as a Director of the Komitas Quartet after 10 prolific years in charge.

On March 20 Hover Chamber Choir appeared within “Francophonie en Armenie” festival with a concert held in Yerevan on March 20 at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall. This was a first event organized through the Armenian Chamber Music Center. In program: French composers and Komitas. At the concert there were present many important guests, such as Ambassador of France to Armenia HE Henri Reynaud and Rector of the French University in Armenia Madame Joelle le Morzellec, and many others.  

On February 11-12 2011 Art Expo Day takes place at the House of Artists of Armenia.

In February 2011 Arman Padaryan was appointed General Producer for the APO. 

In January 2011 the souvenir gift pack of YerazArt CDs was released as limited edition through e-Production design studio.

2010

On December 23 the Komitas Quartet appears with a concert dedicated to 170th anniversary of P.I. Tchaikovsky. There will be also "Armenian Folk Miniatures" album presentation at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall.

On November 10 a long anticipated album "Armenian Folk Miniatures" was released through Erevan Productions by subvention from the Ministry of Culture of Armenia. The title of the album – “85” - commemorates the 85th anniversary of the quartet. The album is comprised of 13 miniatures.

On November 2 Hover Chamber Choir appeared in a joint concert with a world famous tabla performer Trilok Gurtu at Eglise St. Eustache, Paris. The unique performance was organized by Mintaka Music, Ireland.

On October 26 starts participation of Hover Chamber Choir in Polyfollia International Choral Festival held in Saint-Lo, France. There are planned 6 concerts within this professional showcase event that will continue till November 3.

On September 30 starts YerazArt group’s North American tour covering Canada and USA with cities to visit Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago and Boston. The tour will continue till October 19.

On September 26 Hover Chamber Choir appears with concert at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall.

On September 22 the Komitas State Quartet appears with a chamber concert in Ashtarak city’s Concert Palace.

On September 11 starts the 4th edition of Yerevan International Music Festival. Artistic Directors Eduard Topchjan and Alexander Chaushian held under high patronage of Mrs. President of Armenia Rita Sargsyan and Sir Simon Bowes-Lyon (UK). The festival will continue till October 22.

From September 2 to September 7 Arman Padaryan contributed as General Coordinator to organization of “Karot” International Armenian Festival held in Armenia and Artsakh.

In July Komitas State Quartet entered the “Brevis” studio and recorded “Armenian Folk Miniatures” album. The CD is planned to be released through the famous Yerevan Production in October 2010. The project is made possible by subvention from the Ministry of Culture of Armenia.

On May 3, 4, 5, 7 Hover Chamber Choir participated in Valery Gergiev’s Easter Festival in Moscow and Suzdal having appeared with 4 concerts.

The DVD of Hover Chamber Choir "The Parallel" was named as the Best Classical Music Project at the Armenian National Music Award ceremony held on March 27.

From February 16 to 22 Kultur Aktiv e.V. is visiting Aleppo, Syria with an exploration visit in search of Armenian cultural events there.

On February 12-13 2011 Art Expo Day takes place at the House of Artists of Armenia.

2009

On December 25 Hover Chamber Choir produced a DVD of the Parallel theatrical performance with the help from E-productions. The Parallel, commissioned by the Ministry of Culture of Armenia, has had a considerable success during the season being staged at the Goy Experimental Theater by the choir and a stage director Artur Manukyan.

On December 15 Hover Chamber Choir gives a closing concert of the season performing the works by contemporary composers at the Aram Khachaturian House Museum.

On October 31 Komitas State Quartet appears with a concert in Larnaka, Cyprus by invitation of the Armenian MP member V. Mahdessian.

On October 26 and 28 Hover Chamber Choir gives fantastic concerts within the Perspectives XXI International Music Festival performing the works by Krzysztof Penderecki in presence of the composer and his spouse, Minister of Culture of Armenia, and representatives of Orange Foundation.

YerazArt North American tour started from concert in Boston, on October 3, 2009- Boston (Massachusetts) at the National Heritage Museum. Other concerts take place in San Francisco KVZ Armenian School Auditorium, on October 4, in Fresno’s Paul Shagoian Concert Hall on October 6, in Boca Raton St. David Armenian Church on October 9. Two more concerts take place in Canada – on October 11 in Montreal’s St Gregory Armenian Church Hall and on October 14 in Toronto Alex Manoogian Cultural Center. The tour was extremely successful - young Armenian talents Mane Galoyan (voice), Norayr Gapoyan (duduk), Hripsime Aghakaryan (piano), Hrayr Karapetyan (violin), Hayk Sukiasyan (cello) and Mane Harutyunyan impressed the audience with their talent, skills and overall program presentation.

On September 11 started the 3 rd Yerevan International Music Festival. YerazArt Armenia is one of the supporters of the festival taking responsibility at providing help at arranging maste-classes from festival star artists, such as Wolfgant Meyer, Natalia Gutman, Daishin Kashimoto, Ashley Wass and many others.

On June 24 the next performance of “Zugaher” play featuring Hover Chamber Choir takes place at the Goy Experimental Theater, Yerevan.

On June 23 the closing concert of the festival takes place at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall. The festival lasted nearly three months and incorporated 16 concerts and a range of master-classes in Yerevan and Armenia regions. It was supported by the Ministry of Culture of Armenia, YerazArt Armenia and Eurasia Partnership Foundation. Real information support was provided by the VEM FM 101.6. The festival, which aimed to continuously develop skills of the young cellists in Armenia definitely reached the important goals having united all the talented cellists of Armenia and outreaching the guests from the neighboring countries.

On June 22 the next concert of Geronti Talalyan 2 nd Cello Festival takes place at the Aram Khachaturian House Museum. In program: cello duets.

On June 19 there is a concert featuring young Armenian cellists Davit Melkonyan, Gayane Khachatryan and special guests – Christopher Stembridge (UK), Henrietta Harutyunova within the cello festival.

On June 18 there is a concert of Arus Adjemian (piano) a recent laureate of Armenia President’s Youth Award. The concert takes place at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall and there is also a presentation of her last album “Romantic Fire” released by the Armenian Music Center within their classical line.

On June 16 a cellist from Istanbul Rahsan Apay gave a solo recital together with Artur Avanesov at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall within the Geronti Talalyan 2 nd Cello Festival.

On June 14, Sayat-Nova Music School organized a gala concert supported by YerazArt Armenia at the Arno Babadjanyan Small Philharmonic Hall.

On June 12 there was a concert featuring Geronti Talalyan 2 nd Cello Festival ensemble headed by Aram Talalyan. Guest soloist was Aidin Ahmadinejad (Iran).

On June 4, Hover Chamber Choir has given the 2 nd performance of “Zugaher” (Parallel) play at the Goy Experimental Theater.

On June 3 the YerazArt concert audition took place at the Komitas State Conservatory.

From May 28 to 31 the group of talented Armenian cellists headed by the Komitas Quartet cellist Aram Talalayn is giving a series of concerts and master-classes in Sisian, Goris, and Stepanakert within Geronty Talalyan 2nd National Festival.

On May 25 and May 30 there were organized concert auditions within the YerazArt YANC program at the Romanos Melikian College and Sayat-Nova Music School Respectively.

On May 16 and 20 regional concerts of Young People and Master Classes with joint program of Geronty Talalyan 2 nd National Festival and YerazArt take place in Vanadzor and Abovyan respectively.

The YerazArt fellow Harutyun Chkolyan was awarded with the prize as the best duduk player at the Gyumri International Competition, whilst Mane Harutyunyan (oboe) was called the best wind player.

On May 4 the 2 nd round YANC concert took place at the Tchaikovsky Music School.

The YANC 1 st round concerts took place in Yerevan special music schools in the month of April: April 21 at the Spendiaryan Music School, April 22 Sayat Nova Music School.

In an anniversary 20th year of HERAN VIOLONCELLO COMPETITION in Usti nad Orlici, Czech Republic, which took place from April 16 to April 18 YerazArt fellow Gayane Khachatryan took the 1st place and Grand Prix of a laureate.

On April 29 the young people concert and master-classes took place at the Charenzavan Music School.

On April 11 the solo recital of the most talented young Armenian cellist, Narek Hakhnazaryan took place at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall within Geronty Talalyan 2 nd National Festival.

On April 5 the concert of young Armenian talents took place at the Yerevan Ulikhanyan Club with participation of Vardan Gasparyan, Gayane Khachatryan, Hakob Atyan and Mikayel Grigoryan.

On April 4 the opening ceremony of Geronty Talalyan 2 nd National Cello Festival, supported by the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and YerazArt took place at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall.

On March 30 the opening concert of YerazArt National Competition and audition (YANC) took place at the Tchaikovsky Music School.

On March 26 YerazArt fellow Vardan Gasparyan was auditioned and officially accepted to the Colburn School of Music in Los Angeles.

On March 13 Hover Chamber Choir participated in the Armenian premiere of Missa Solemnis by Beethoven. Conductor is the famous John Nelson (USA).

On February 7 Hover Chamber Choir participated in the Armenian Music Award controversial ceremony.

2008 

On December 12 and 13 the renowned Sayat Nova Choir from Istanbul appeared together with Kardes Turkuler ensemble and BGST dancers at Yerevan Aram Khachaturian Big Hall and Vanadzor Charles Aznavour Palace within the project "Music Bridge across Turkey-Armenia border” supported by the Eurasia Partnership Foundation with funding from USAID.

From December 3 to 8, Eduard Tadevosyan participated in the Thessaloniki International Competition as a member of the jury.

On December 9 the solo recital of Cihat Askin, a founder and music director of Istanbul Chamber Orchestra and MIAM, took place at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall in Yerevan within the project "Music Bridge across Turkey-Armenia border” supported by the Eurasia Partnership Foundation with funding from USAID. On December 10 Maestro Askin gave a master-class at the Yerevan State Conservatory.

On November 25 the solo recital of Eduard Tadevosyan, the artistic director of the Komitas Quartet, took place at the MIAM Hall in Istanbul within the project "Music Bridge across Turkey-Armenia border” supported by the Eurasia Partnership Foundation with funding from USAID. On November 26 Maestro Tadevosyan gave a master-class at the MIAM Conservatory.

From November 6-9 the Komitas Quartet is participating in the Thessaloniki International Music Festival, Greece appearing together with a famous German piano player Uwe Matschke.

From September 25 to October 11 the group of YerazArt 2008 fellows is participating in the YerazArt North American tour. There will be 6 talented children selected by the YerazArt board visiting with concerts Los Angeles (Alex Theater), Toronto (Glenn Gould Studio), Montreal (Salle Claude- Champagne), and Boston (Charles Mosesian Theater).

From September 5 to 15 the renowned choir from Hamburg “Collegium Vocale St. Petri” is participating in the “Sacred Music Bridge between Germany and Armenia” organized together with Hover Chamber Choir with support from WOEB Foundation and Goethe Institute, Germany.

From September 2 to 24 the 2 nd Yerevan International Music Festival will start. Numerous international start artists are participating in the event. General support to the festival is provided by ArmRusGazProm and Yerevan Brandy Company.

From August 16 to 23 the group of German journalists represented by Kultur Aktiv e.V. will be visiting Armenia and Karabagh with an aim to prepare a documentary movie about the traditional Armenian music. The YerazArt 2007 fellow Haroutyun Chkolyan (duduk) will be participating in the project contributing to the soundtrack.

From July 21 to 27 the participant from Karabagh NGO "Haiki Serount" Yervan Hajiyan participates in the "Rock4Peace" conference in Dresden, Germany, which is dedicated to cultural life and projects in NKR. The same time around Nelly Minasyan of NGO "Meghvik" from Gyumri starts her EVS (European Volunteer Service) participation in Kultur Aktiv e.V. office.

On July 19 the long-anticipated CD of Arus Adjemian “Romantic Fire” arrived to Yerevan. The premiere of the CD to general public is scheduled for the end of September, whilst the CD is on electronic sale from May 2008. Executive producer of the CD is a renowned Canadian businessman and benefactor Levon Afeyan.

On July 4, 6, 13 and 20 Hover Chamber Choir participates in the full production of "Madama Butterfly" opera perfectly done by the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. The artistic consultant to the production is Natalia Afeyan, whilst her participation is supported by renowned American businessman and benefactor Noubar Afeyan.

On July 10 the Georgian rock-group "STR!NG" represented by the Step Records was invited by Arman Padaryan and made a perfect appearance at the rock-festival ogranized by Eduard Abrahamyan (ex-MDP) and supported by the Council of Europe in frames of Anti-Discrimination Campaign.

On June 18 the Komitas Quartet hosts the Bosphorus Quartet with a concert in Yerevan within this project in the Komitas Chamber Music Hall.

On June 13 the Komitas State Quartet appears with a concert in Istanbul, MIAM Hall, within the project "Music Bridge across Turkey-Armenia border” supported by the Eurasia Partnership Foundation with funding from USAID.

On April 19, YerazArt 2006 seed alumni Gayane Khachatryan, gives a solo-recital at the Gyumri Academy of Music within the 1st National Cello Festival. The concert is supported by YerazArt.

On  April 7, Hover Chamber Choir appears at the XXI Perspectives festival with performing of Sacred Chorals by Krzysztof Penderecki
 
On March 31, the Komitas Quartet appears with the concert at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall within the program of the Armenian Children Philharmonia.
 
On March 26 the 1st National Cello Festival held under auspices of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia starts at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall. On March 25, the YerazArt 2006 seed alumni Nara Avetisyan (piano) did a remarkable recital at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall, supported also by YerazArt.
 
On March 24, Arus Adjemian signed the contract on release of her new CD album "Romantic Fire" with the Armenian Music Centre label.

On March 15 Hover Chamber Choir appeared with a concert at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall within the program of the Armenian Children Philharmonia.

On February 26, Hover Chamber Choir appeared in concert with the renowned British organist and harpsichordist Christopher Stembridge.
 
In February Kultur Atkiv e.V. started promotion of the newly released album of Hover Chamber Choir -  Armenian Folk Songs. The CD will be distributed among international festivals, agents, information resource centers, and most influential music journals.
 
On January 23 according to the official audition to the vacant place of the 2nd violin, held under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall, laureate of international competitions, a talented violinist Syuzi Yeritsyan was invited to the Komitas Quartet. 

2006/2007

On December 12 there was a concert of the Komitas State Quartet dedicated to the 110 Anniversary of Sarkis Aslamazyan, one of the founders of the quartet back in 1924, the bright cellist and the author of wonderful arrangements of the Armenian Folk Miniatures.

From November 2 to 4 Hover Chamber Choir's male cast appeared with two concerts at the XI Christian Culture Festival "Logos" in Lodz, Poland performing "Armenian Divine Liturgy. Patarag."

From September 23 to October 7, 2007 there is a tour of Hover Chamber Choir of Armenia over Germany. 12 concerts in 6 cities: Hamburg, Berlin, Braunschweig, Halle, Goseck, Dresden. The project is supported by WOEB foundation Berlin, Armenian and German Embassies, Ministry of Culture of Armenia with participation of main organizers - Collegium Vocale St. Petri and Kultur Aktiv e.V. Dresden. Special gratitude to the Armenische Gemeinde zu Berlin and Peilert family.
 
From September 22 to September 27, 2007 Rock4 Peace International Festival concerts take place in Yerevan, Stepanakert, Gyumri, Kutaisi and Tbilisi. Together with Armenian bands MDP, Oaksenham and Bambir the German band ZenZebra makes impressive appearances.
 
On September 14-17, 2007 Storm of Change III takes place in Dresden,
Germany. The Armenian D&B project the DreiDnotes www.drednotes.com makes a remarkable appearance in the Club Puschkin.
 
On September 13, 2007 a new season opening concert of superb Armenian talents, YerazArt USA Spring 2007 tour participants takes place in the Aram Khachatryan House Museum in Yerevan.  The concert recorded by Hayrenik TV can be watched on the 1st and 2nd Sundays of October 2007, 18:00.
 
On August 30 a Trio comprised of Satenik Smbatyan, violin, Aram Talalyan,
cello and Hayk Melikyan, piano gives a concert dedicated to the Republic
of France at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall. In program works by Honegger,
Vahram Babayan, Gagik Hovunts and Debussy.
 
On July 30, there is a conference "Artistic creation, international funding
and local context" organized with participation of European Cultural
Foundation, for now in Tbilisi, Georgia.

From July 16 to July 23 the Komitas State Quartet participates in the
Luberon International Festival of Quartets in France. In addition to this
appearance there will be a concert together with Svetlana Navasardyan, piano
at the Les Invalides, Paris organized through the efforts of the Armenian
Embassy to France.

On July 5 a Piano Trio comprised of Karine Elchyan-Movsesyan, piano,
Svetlana Oganesian, violin ( USA) and Aram Talalyan, cello gives a concert
at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall. In program works by Beethoven, Brahms and Mendelssohn.

On July 3 a recital of Emmanuel Tjeknavorian (violin) will be held at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall. Administrative support to this concert is provided by YerazArt and it’s an admission free event. In Program works by: Bach, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Sarasate and Shostakovich.

From June 14 to 27 the 2nd Yerevan Baroque Music Festival
takes place at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall.

From May 2 to 6, Hover Chamber Choir appears with concerts at Gaude Mater Sacred Music Festival in Czestochowa, Poland.

From April 23 to May 14, YerazArt 2007 Spring Class tour the United States. Eight concerts of the class will take place in Arlington, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Austin, Houston, Fresno, San Francisco and Burbank. more

On April 12 Hover Chamber Choir celebrates for the first time its 15th Anniversary. The concert with free entrance takes place at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall.

On April 4 the Komitas State Quartet appears with the concert at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire Big Hall. The visit was made possible through the Andrew and Eleanor Bagdasarian supporting scheme for 2006/2007 concert season of the quartet.

From April 3 to 5, important coordinating meetings on further cooperation plans between Armenian partners and Kultur Aktiv e.V. takes place in Dresden and Halle, Germany.

On March 17, Artur Manukyan made a second appearance with his friends - for now at the Naregatsi Art Institute.

From March 15 to 21, Artistic Director of the Komitas Quartet, Eduard Tadevosyan appears with concerts in Almaty and Karaganda, Kazakhstan.

On February 24, Artur Manukyan appears with a unique program at the Club. The group consisted from members of a famous Armenian chamber choir "Hover" performs songs by Arthur Manukyan on the words of Russian, Armenian and anonymous authors accompanied by guitar, flute and percussion.

Organization of the exploration journey in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabagh Republic for journalists from Western Europe in June 18-24 2006.

Concert at the “Stop Club” in Yerevan of the German electronic avant-garde rock group “Scatology.de” on 23 June 2006.

Facilitation to the organization of youth exchange in Armenia with young people from five countries in Gyumri in June 17-29 2006.

From April 13 to April 18 Komitas Quartet tours Russia within the program “Year of Armenia in Russia ”. Three concerts took place in Moscow, Dubna and St. Petersburg.

On February 21 Hover Chamber Choir of Armenia appears at Benjamin Britten Festival in Yerevan.

On January 12 Hover Chamber Choir of Armenia performs in the Club, Yerevan.
